Turning inspiration Into Action

Looking back at 2024, it was a pivotal year for my studio, filled with new exhibitions, meaningful press features, and professional milestones that helped shape the direction of my current work.

Here is a summary of the highlights from 2024 exhibitions and publications to catch you up on the journey:

Exhibitions & Fairs

Sharing my work in person is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist. This year, I had the opportunity to participate in several impactful shows:

  • Affordable Art Fair NYC: It was an incredible experience showing with JJ Contemporary Art Gallery at this major fair in September. Two large paintings sold!

  • Estamos Aquí: I was honored to be part of this juried exhibition at Arts Mid-Hudson Gallery in Poughkeepsie.

  • Renascence: A group show at Limner Gallery in Hudson, NY.

  • Virtual & Thematic Shows: I participated in several specialized exhibitions, including The Color of Skin (Inside Small Gallery), a Women Only exhibition (Blue Koi Gallery), and the WWA x Reason & Ruckus show for Women's HERstory Month.

In the Press: Sharing the Story

2024 was a year of deep reflection, and I am grateful to the publications that allowed me to share the "why" behind my art:

  • Magazine Features: My work was featured in New Visionary Magazine (Issue 11) and Arts to Hearts Project Magazine (Issue 6).

  • Special Editions: I was incredibly proud to be included in 100 Emerging Artists of 2024: Women's Edition by Arts to Hearts Project.

  • Interviews: I had the chance to discuss my process in interviews with the Women In Arts Network, La Voz Magazine (interviewed by Elisa Pritzker), and on Radio Kingston.

  • Artist/Mother Advocacy: I was featured in an interview for the Women United Art Movement: ARTIST, MOTHER, PROUD & SERIOUS, VOL II magazine.

Thank you for being part of this year of momentum. Each of these milestones has paved the way for the projects currently on my easel. Stay tuned for more updates!

Much love,

Mari
